All images are initially uploaded to a private database for approval by the organisers; the organisers reserve the right to reject any image deemed inappropriate. Only approved images will be included on the ‘View Photos’ page and in the final artwork for the photo mosaic.
The designers and technicians make every effort to ensure that each image uploaded will be used in the photo mosaic at least once. However there can be no 100% guarantee that every image will be included. The chances of an image not being included are very very slim, but the mosaic design process is carried out by computer software and there is a possibility that it may leave out an image for technical reasons. Such technical reasons might include, for instance, that a photo, which looks fine to the naked eye, might have some digital corruption which causes the software to reject it.
REGISTERING TO UPLOAD IMAGES
In order to upload images you will need to register your email address. By registering your email address with us you agree to your details being used to contact you for any purpose deemed necessary by the organisers, for instance, to contact you to advise of project updates, or to notify you should you win a camera in our monthly draw.
The organisers give complete assurance that your email address will not be used for any other purposes [please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information].
IMAGES YOU UPLOAD
By uploading an image or images you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Any image uploaded for this project must be the property and copyright of the individual uploading it and, by doing so, that individual is deemed to have given permission for the image to be used in the creation of the Poole Park Photo Mosaic.
While you retain the copyright in your image, once uploaded you grant us a licence to publish and otherwise use the image in other ways connected with this project. This may include using it on social media, on printed materials or on other Borough of Poole websites to help promote the Poole Park Photo Mosaic.
The organisers give complete assurance that your images will not be used for any other purpose outside of the project without your express permission.
The organisers give assurance that photographs provided for the Poole Park Photo Mosaic will be securely stored for the duration of the ‘Poole Park Life’ project.
The organisers reserve the right to reject any image that may be deemed inappropriate, offensive or otherwise unacceptable. You will be notified by email if your image is rejected during the approval process. No refunds will be issued for images that are rejected.
